Soapbox wins again!

Soapbox studios would like to congratulate JC Richardson, Kevin Thomas, and Nikos Mavrommatis on their awards at 2009 Promax Latin America. JC and Kevin won a silver award for the “Perfect As It Is” campaign as well as “Cartoon Pop – Tape (Dexter).” Kevin and Nikos won a silver medal for “Mobile- Gas.” Nikos also won a bronze award for his work on Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, “Grim’s Fate.”

Soapbox Studios Receives New York Festivals & MM&T Awards

Soapbox Studios is off to a great start in 2009. The Atlanta Pre/Post/Music powerhouse just received a gold medal from the 2009 New York Festivals for it’s audio work with Cartoon Network on The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy “Suicide” promo.

Soapbox also garnered a 2009 MM&M (Medical Marketing & Media) gold award for it’s work with Adair Greene-McCann / Artistic Image for Best Over-the-Counter Product Advertisement/Campaign. Audio engineer Nikos Mavrommatis worked on sweetening both pieces.

Audio Update

Sound Designer Nikos Mavrommatis has just completed an original music piece for writer/producer Daniel Xavier. The music will air on Cartoon Network’s “Total Drama Island”.

The music division of Soapbox Studios recently composed an original score for a series of national advertising campaigns for news giant CNN. The ads can be seen on CNN, VH1 and ESPN now.

Juan Baez just finished Justin Timberlake and Rihanna concert promos for TNT Latin America with producer Esther Delozier. Juan has also been working on interstitials for the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards; most recently Fashion at the Academy Awards.

 

Nikos Mavrommatis recently completed sound design for CNNs new show with DL Hughley.

 

 

Tyler Davis finished Triple Feature Movie Promos for TNTLA for The Hunted, Red Dragon, and Secret Window. He also completed a movie promo for Seabiscuit.

Senior Editors JC Richardson & Kevin Thomas recently completed a series of promos for Christiane Amanpour. Airing now on CNN.

 

Brian Simmons is working with CNN Senior Writer / Producer Danya Levine & Rain Forest Productions on a campaign series airing soon on CNN.

 

Scott Wiley completed a project for the High Museum of Art that will be shown within the Terracotta Soldier exhibit now thru April 19th.

Andrew Swinney recently completed a Resident Evil promo that aired on Adult Swim. Produced by Karen Hutchison the piece promoted the full-length animated feature available on Blu Ray, DVD, and PSP video.

Andrew also created Sneak Peek promos airing within Cartoon Networks Tharsdays franchise for the movie Delgo, with producer Mary Rutt.

iReport Film Festival

Soapbox Studios just wrapped up the iReport Film Festival with Senior Writer Danya Levine.

Video Production Update!

Scott Wiley worked with Brian Simmons on a :60 commercial for Tiger Woods to air on the Golf Channel.

Senior Video Editor Kevin Thomas, in collaboration with CNN Producer Sean Houston, recently completed work on CNN’s League of First Time Voters music video, “Feels Like the First Time.” The video is a Chris Daughtry cover of the original Foreigner song.

Video Editor Brian Simmons has been hard at work with CNN Producer Margarita Hodan on a promo for Buddha’s Warriors. Look out for the promo, airing now on CNN.

Brian Simmons just completed a project with CNN-I entitled World View with Producer Howard Winer.

Andrew Swinney just completed a promo campaign with Kati Haley of TBS/TNT in time for sweeps.

Audio Production News update!

Audio engineer JC Richardson just completed two projects with the BBC and TVE. The first project, for the BBC, is a documentary titled “Gecko.” The second project, for TVE, is a documentary about the African nation Uganda.

Juan Baez just completed a promo with Writer Kevin Mason of Cartoon Network for it’s hit series Chowder.

Nikos Mavrommatis completed work with Writer Jordan Mussi for Flapjack on Cartoon Network Latin America
